The Light Group tab is where you provide specification information to the Poco system on the light you wish to program. Information such as which family (referred to as Clans) the light belongs to (Underwater Light, Down Light etc.) and what the color output of the light is (Spectrum, white/blue etc.) You will also give the new light group a reference name and select the channel the light is on. Poco will use this information to determine which protocol to use when communicating with this light.
How to Setup a Light Group
Start by connecting to Poco and going to the Configuration setup (Gear wheel in the top right of the screen). The default passcode is “0000”
Directions:
- Under Light Groups select “add a new light group” to launch the setup window. Tip: It is good to use the prefix “LG” for Light Group for easy reference when in another section (example: LG Underwater).
- Select the Poco channel output to which you connected the light (channel light is on).
- Select a Clan designated for your light (“4: Underwater Lights” for example).
- Select the light output color, Spectrum RGBW if it is a full-color light etc.
- PLI Pattern Sync is only applicable to a small number of Lumitec light families.
- Save the Light Group.
Now you are ready to move on to Switches.
