Underwater Lights:
When applying sealant to any Lumitec underwater product, ensure that you apply a generous amount in a complete 360-degree radius around the back of the light. Make sure each screw hole also has sealant completely around the circumference with no gaps. It is also very important to apply sealant around the base of the wiring stem and all the way up the stem until you reach the exposed wire. After the light is fixed into place from the inside of the hull, apply more sealant into the wiring through-hull hole before inserting the supplied wiring plug.
Above water Lights:
Sealant is not required for the application of most Lumitec above-water lights. However, it is always good practice to apply sealant to add an extra level of waterproofing around the edge of flush mount lights and in areas where wire runs enter or exit the hull or hardtop.
